contemporary classical music ensemble
-DME's first concert of contemporary classical music. Compostions
by Brendon Wood, Jonah Rapino and a performance of Terry Riley's
"In C" at the Berwick Research Institute Boston MA 2001.
-Artists in Residency at the BRI for the whole month of May 2003
with two concerts, the first featuring the music of Pauline Oliveros,
K.H. Stockhausen, John Adams, and Elliot Schwartz; and the second
featuring music by local composers: Daryl Loud, David Patterson,
Dave Utzinger, Jonah Rapino, and Brendon Wood.
-DME hosted an evening of modern classical music at the Mass. College
Art, December 17th 2004, with a 40 piece orchestral ensemble, featuring
original works by B. Wood, J. Rapino, M. Tuttle, and D. Patterson.
-The Berwick Reseach Institute Artist in Residency retrospective
show was highlighted by a performance of a 20 piece orchestral ensemble
with the Devil Music rock trio at the Mills Gallery in Downtown
Boston. Works by B. Wood, L. Bunk, E. Nugent, and J. Rapino
-DME hosted an evening of modern classical music at the Mass. College
of Art, September 17th 2007, with a 40 piece orchestral ensemble
featuring original works by B. Wood, J. Rapino, D.Utzinger, and
D. Patterson.

-Sound design and live soundtrack for "The Loft" a modern adaptation
of Chekhov's "The Cherry Orchard" American Art Theatre
Boston MA 2001
-Composition and sound design for "The Art Show Down" which was
broadcast on CCTV live from Art Interactive in Cambridge MA between
March and May of 2006.
performance of Terry Riley's in C for 5 piece rock ensemble
-With the addition of Erik Nugent on saxophone and Somer Waters
on cello, Devil Music performed a 45 minute "rock" version of In
C at O'brien's Club in Boston MA 2001.
guitar ensembles
-Wood, Nylander, and Rapino played guitars in the world premier
of Glenn Branca's 100 guitar Symphony #13 World Trade Center, NYC
2001.
-Wood, Nylander, and Rapino performed as members of Rhys Chatham's
G3 guitar ensemble alongside Rhys Chatham, Chris Brokaw, Winston
Braman, Keith Fullerton Whitman, and David Daniel, at Great Scott
in Boston, February 2007.
grants received
-in 2008 Devil Music Ensemble received two grants
from the New England Foundation for the Arts. Both the NEFA Expeditions
and the New England States touring grants were awarded to the DME
for their "Red Heroine" project.
